About
About....
Origino – or Origin in Esperanto – was founded in 2013. Initially as a research and action vehicle, now also as a consultancy and development company.
With over 2,5 decades of experience in worldwide business development in organic waste treatment, mushroom farming, crop research and organic crop protection, it was time to start combining these fields of expertise.
Today, the main focus of Origino is on companies and projects active with organic materials or water treatment, in development, management and optimisation. All these projects have one thing in common: organic waste and water are starting point for improving food, feed and energy.
Origino projects are worldwide; current projects are throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and of course, home-land The Netherlands.

Oersprong
A very special project in which Origino contributes is called Oersprong.
Oersprong – or "Primal Leap!" - combines social cohesion with small scale regenerative horticulture and fishfarming. The latter are in symbioses, also known as Aquaponics. Only seeds and part of the feeds are bought from elsewhere. The rest is produced locally or on site, with people who feel at home at Oersprong.
All processes - composting to heat up rainwater, growth of Catfish, growing salads, herbs and leafy greens on fish poo - interact and are used for personal growth, education and practical research. The outputs are used for maintaining regenerativeness, making lunch during social gatherings and eventually for local sales.
